Role Overview:

As a Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive technical solutions that address complex business challenges. Leveraging your expertise in Azure and other IT tools, you will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to gather and translate user requirements into actionable recommendations. Your strong communication skills will be essential as you develop business cases, assess the business impact of technical choices, and inform stakeholders about any issues with current solutions. With a focus on operations management, systems integration, and information security, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical architecture and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and Part 11.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Solution Design: Architect end-to-end solutions that align with internal requirements and business objectives, incorporating best practices and innovative technologies.
2. Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from discovery and design to implementation and optimization.
3. Collaboration: Engage with internal stakeholders to understand their business needs, gather requirements, and translate them into actionable technical solutions.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop compelling proposals, deliver successful projects, and drive business growth.
5. Documentation and Communication: Create detailed technical documentation, diagrams, and presentations to effectively communicate solution designs and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
6. Continuous Learning: Stay up to date on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to continuously enhance your skills and contribute to the advancement of our technical capabilities.

Skills and Attributes:

• Collecting/Translating User Requirements: Ability to gather and translate user requirements into technical solutions.
• General IT Knowledge: Familiarity with a broad range of IT tools and technologies.
• Azure Knowledge: Proficiency in Microsoft Azure services and solutions.
• Operations Management: Understanding of IT operations management principles and practices.
• Systems Integration: Experience with integrating diverse systems and technologies.
• Project Management Skills: Ability to manage projects effectively, including scheduling, resource allocation, and budgeting.
• Assessing Business Impact: Capability to assess the business impact of technical decisions and make recommendations accordingly.
• Admin Experience with SAS: Hands-on experience with SAS administration tasks.
• Research and Proposal: Continuously research current and emerging technologies and propose changes as needed.
• Developing Business Cases: Ability to develop business cases for changes, including ROI analysis based on FTE savings and revenue impact.
• Understanding System Architecture: Deep understanding of complete system architectures.
• Experience with Development Tools: Familiarity with installing and configuring development tools such as C++, Python, LaTeX, etc.
• Developing Roadmaps: Ability to develop and communicate technical roadmaps.
• Information Security Knowledge: Understanding of information security principles and practices.
• Developing Validation Plans: Proficiency in developing validation plans for technical solutions.
• R Installation/Validation Experience: Experience with R installation and validation processes.
• Technical Architecture Design: Ability to design, modify, and test technical architectures.
• Experience with Development Environments: Proficiency in working within development environments.
• Compliance Management: Understanding of compliance management principles, including regulatory requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, etc.
• Clinical Knowledge: Understanding of regulatory standards such as Part 11, Annex 11, GDPR, HIPAA, and PII, as well as familiarity with the clinical development cycle.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 6 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of designing and implementing complex technical solutions.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
