Senior Research Consultant, Quantitative Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics

We are looking for a research consultant to join our Quantitative Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics (QPP) team at Cytel, which is part of our Strategic Consulting group. You will be responsible for advanced analytical support for assigned consulting projects and may also act as the Lead Consultant and primary point of contact for the client.

In the QPP team, you will contribute to Pop-PK and PK/PD modelling, and non-compartmental analyses. You may also be involved in non-QPP consulting opportunities, including statistical analysis, study design, Bayesian and/or adaptive design methodologies.

 

 

Education:  M.Sc. in Biostatistics, Mathematics, Data Science or a related field required.  PhD in relevant discipline preferred.

Experience:  Minimum 2 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry. 5+ years’ experience preferred.

 

SKILLS:

Required

  • Experience in Pop-PK and PK/PD modelling, and non-compartmental analyses
  • Understanding of the broader biopharmaceutical R&D process.
  • Comfortable presenting and interfacing with consultants and clients.
  • Strong grammatical/technical-writing, oral communication and presentation skills, excellent use of the English language and nuanced communicator.
  • Collaborative, entrepreneurial and self-motivated, without the need for significant infrastructure and support, and with an understanding of the dynamics of high-growth companies; the ability to work effectively in a demanding, challenging, rapidly changing environment.
  • Excellent organization and multi-tasking capabilities, strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experienced in Phoenix WinNonLin and NLME, and R.
  • M.Sc. in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or related field
  • Minimum two years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

 

Desirable

  • Experience in the presentation and interpretation of Quantitative Clinical Pharmacology data for CSR and other reporting.
  • Knowledge of theory and application of statistical methods in clinical trials. Bayesian and/or adaptive design experience is a plus.
  • Strong SAS skills
  • Strong Python skills
  • Experience in Bioinformatics and data handling conventions for genetic data.
  • Strategic thinker with a global orientation, solid business acumen and an appreciation of the broader business issues, and the ability to execute in complex situations at the tactical level. 
  • Existing network of client relationships desirable and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to gain respect of and influence management team, board members, the customer and prospect communities, and personnel at all levels.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the customer decision-making processes and constraints, with proven ability to develop and capture transformational opportunities.
  • Experience, vision, creativity, scope, integrity, leadership skills, prestige and intellect to enhance the existing organization and constructively contribute to the strategic direction of Cytel.

 

This role can be based in Ireland, UK, Germany, Switzerland, Spain or The Netherlands.
