Ingress-health is a Cytel company, specialized in health economics and real-world evidence generation. We generate economic and epidemiological research by using data from various countries and settings that have resulted in a long track record of publications/presentations in peer-reviewed journals and scientific conferences.

We are looking for a Data Analyst who will be part of the growing Cytel/Ingress-health Real-World Evidence (RWE) team in London, UK.  The Data Analyst will be responsible for conducting data analyses in studies using Real-World Data (RWD) such as large claims databases, registries and electronic medical records. Primarily the role is intended to support studies using the UK CPRD data, however, it is expected that the successful candidate will also support multinational projects using other large patient-level datasets.


Main responsibilities:

  • Participate in the development of study protocols and statistical analysis plans under the supervision of consultant leads, including participation in study design discussions.
  • Develop custom code in SAS or STATA, or other statistical software to perform data management tasks such patient selection, variable creation, analytical dataset creation.
  • Perform statistical analyses and develop code to generate summary tables and figures, and other outputs as specified in analysis plans/study protocols and programming specifications.
  • Interpret statistical analysis results.
  • Use strong communication skills to present and effectively communicate analysis outputs and statistical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Maintain complete and up-to date project documentation (programming code, study outputs etc) and quality control/validation documents.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • BSc in computing, data science, statistics, biostatistics or a related discipline.
  • Around 3 years+ of working experience in a consulting/CRO and/or academic environment.
  • Extensive programming experience in SAS and STATA or other statistical software (SQL, SPSS, R etc)
  • Data visualization skills such as experience with R Shiny would be appreciated.
  • Demonstrated experience in analysis of large patient-level datasets; experience working with the UK CPRD data would be ideal.
  • Demonstrated experience in quantitative methods (in health economics), health service research, epidemiology or statistics with focus on data analysis using observational data.
  • Knowledge and implementation of advanced statistical methods.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, prioritization and decision-making skills necessary to evaluate, plan and accomplish multiple work goals in a timely fashion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
