We are looking for a driven and experienced Senior Product Manager to lead our innovative and market-leading clinical development product suite that helps our customer to design, model and simulate complex innovative clinical trials that have the potential to create significant value for sponsors and patient by increasing probability of success and accelerating time to market.

 

As a Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for all product lifecycle activities including gathering customer requirements, formulating a product strategy, defining a roadmap, and coordinating with engineering, marketing, business development, and pre-and post-sales to execute on that strategy. The ideal candidate has excellent written and oral communication skills, enjoys working closely with customers, and is able to clearly articulate user requirements and personas to engineering.

 

Option to work from our office locations in Waltham, MA or King of  Prussia, PA.

 

Your contributions include:

  • Product strategy – develop a business plan and go-to-market strategy, including product positioning and messaging, that differentiate Cytel products in the market

  • Product design –perform functional analysis to identify the best options for compelling, easy to use software

  • Engagement with engineering – build a close partnership with development teams to understand technical trade-offs and architecture in order to successfully influence product design

  • Prioritization - relentlessly prioritize across several competing objectives to make optimal use of time and resources

  • Customer development – conduct in person and virtual conversations to understand users, priorities, and design considerations

  • Product launch – plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan

  • Sales support – communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team, develop the sales tools that support the selling, and directly support key opportunities

  • Market intelligence – be the expert on Cytel’s buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria; be the expert on Cytel’s competition and how to win over them

  • Demand generation – develop the strategy and manage the marketing programs that drive demand for Cytel’s products

  • Organizational leadership – work with customers, support, and development teams to handle and resolve any critical customers issues that arise with our products

  • Do whatever else is needed to improve Cytel products, delight our customers, strengthen our organization, and help the company grow

                                             

What we need from you:

  • 5+ years of prior product management experience, or other business oriented / customer facing technical role
  • Masters in statistics, scientific, business, or marketing field
  • Experience building enterprise software that is consumed by technical users & buyers
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and tools
  • Experience with life sciences industry and/or health technology products
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues and cross-functional teams, and third parties
