Role Description 

Cytel is recruiting an experienced and innovative B2B marketer to join our team as Senior Director, Strategic Marketing, overseeing strategy, planning and execution of best-in-class, integrated marketing campaigns across our service portfolio.  Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this role will partner across the organization and closely with our marketing, functional and commercial leadership teams.  


Essential Functions and Other Job Information: 

  • Oversee the marketing strategy development and execution for Cytel’s service portfolio  

  • Develop and execute full-funnel, integrated marketing campaigns that drive awareness, build brand preference, and drive commercial growth 

  • Create, manage and/or support critical core aspects of our go-to-market approach, including value proposition/messaging, buyer journey mapping, demand generation, sales enablement 

  • Manage key relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment of marketing plans with strategic business objectives/imperatives 

  • Partner closely across marketing organization on campaign development and execution, including content, creative, events, and marketing analytics and automation 

  • Bring a data-driven mindset, leveraging KPI’s and data analytics in decision-making 

  • Partner closely with our extended commercial team to provide insights on the optimization of marketing programs to deliver growth 


Education and Experience: 

  • 10+ years of related B2B marketing experience, with a focus on marketing strategy and planning in CRO, life science or professional services organizations 

  • Deep understanding of integrated marketing communications strategies/tactics and how they come together to deliver results 

  • Team-oriented, collaborative approach with the ability to take initiative, prioritize and manage multiple initiatives.   

  • Ability to interact and communicate across a variety of stakeholder groups with strong executive presence and leadership capabilities  

  • A growth mindset with the strong problem-solving abilities and the willingness to be flexible and adaptable 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/Communications or business field
